Wolfes Landing Fauna & Flora
The flora and fauna at Wolfes Landing is truly spectacular. Although the number and variety of animals and plants vary with the seasons there is always something pretty to stop and admire. These photos show are some that can be see around the house and the adjacent bushland. Spring is wildflower time and the surrounding bushland becomes a riot of colour. The birdlife on the Inlet varies too. An important factor that determines local waterbird numbers is the water levels on Australia's inland lakes and rivers, especially Lake Eyre. As it is flood now with the highest levels in recorded history, many of Australia's coastal waterbirds have flocked to Lake Eyre to take advantage of the improved breading conditions.
